“Teens who spend more of their time in touch with technology or smartphones experience behavioral problems and symptoms of ADHD or attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder,” said study author Madeleine George of Duke University, North Carolina, USA.
“A study involving 151 adolescents looked at the link between mental health and how much time teenagers spend on social media and day-to-day conversations, the result is that those who spend a lot of time with their owned smartphones tend to lie, fight and misbehave . ”
Then, what makes a smartphone bad for mental disorders?
“Unconsciously holding on to smartphones will make each individual lose their self-control properly, so it’s hard to control behavior and emotions that then have an adverse effect on mental health,” he concluded.
