Bahrun Naim Behind Terror Attack In Jakarta Indonesia


Bahrun Naim referred to as being responsible for a series of terror in the region Sarinah. The man who was reported missing since 2015 is believed to join ISIS and hiding in the capital city of Raqqa, Syria.

“Naim was arrested in 2010, but then in 2014 he was arrested, detained bullet case, after which he went to Syria and join in Raqqa,” said Metro Jaya police chief, Inspector General of Police Tito Karnavian at the State Palace, Jakarta, Thursday (14/1).

At that time, Bahrun arrested for allegedly associated with terrorist groups in Indonesia. But evidence obtained makes it free from the shackles of terrorism and sentenced for possession of illegal weapons.

The judges then sentenced to 2.5 years in prison for Bahrun. However, a few years later he reportedly took a student to Syria and joined the ISIS in the city of Raqqa.

Acts of terror that occurred in Jakarta today occurs because Bahrun want to seek the face in front of ISIS leader Abu Bakr Al-Bagdadi. Bahrun believed to be very ambitious to become the head of ISIS branch in Southeast Asia.

“He wants to establish Khatibah archipelago, which includes Southeast Asia that he wanted to design an attack in Indonesia, so that is said to be the leader,” said Tito.
